There are many strange ways of getting dismissed in cricket. Run out is a very funny and weird way of getting out. But run out happens when the partners don't communicate well. But here a run out happens due to natural phenomena.
Huge cracks develop on the WACA pitch at Perth on last two days of a test match. In the Perth test of 1997 between Australia and West Indies, Curtly Ambrose became a part of one of the freakiest dismissals in cricket.
He moved forward(out of crease) to play a delivery and the ball hit his pads and went near the short leg position. Healy was quick in reaching to the ball and had a freak throw at the stumps which luckily hit the stumps. Ambrose while trying to get back in his crease got his bat stuck in a crack on the pitch and this delayed it. When the bat came out of crack, the ball had already hit the stumps and he was run out.
